Copy of the biographical data page of a passport or travel document valid at least 6 months from the date of visa application, in good condition, with at least two blank pages.
Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates a minimum passport validity of 6 months at the time of visa application and at least two blank pages for stamping. If applying at a consulate, you must also present the physical passport with at least 180 days’ validity and two blank pages.
Copy of the document proving legal stay or residence in the country where the visa application is lodged (e.g., residence permit, long‑stay visa), if applying at a Colombian consulate outside your country of nationality.
General instructions require proof of regular stay when applying at a consulate in a third country.

The online application form specifies a 3x4 cm color photo with white background in JPG format, maximum 300 KB. If applying in person at some consulates, the photo may be taken on site, but an electronic photo is still required for online applications.

Colombian regulations require most foreign documents to be apostilled or legalized and translated into Spanish by an official translator if issued in another language. Passport and other travel documents themselves are exempt from apostille/legalization for visa purposes.
