Completed and signed Kosovo visa application form for each applicant, including minors.
Each person included in a travel document must submit a separate application form; minors’ forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Applications must generally be lodged in person no earlier than 3 months before the intended visit.
Copy of valid travel document (passport) with at least 3 months’ validity beyond intended departure from Kosovo and at least two blank pages.
Passport must be valid at least three months after the intended date of departure from Kosovo and contain at least two blank pages, per Kosovo MFA guidance. Original passport must also be presented when lodging the application and at the border.
Recent color photograph meeting ICAO standards, not older than 1 month.
Some consular posts may accept slightly different dimensions as long as ICAO biometric standards are met.

Proof of sufficient financial means to cover stay in Kosovo and return or onward travel (e.g., recent bank statements, payslips, sponsorship letter).
Specific minimum amounts are not officially published; applicants should demonstrate realistic coverage of accommodation, daily expenses, and transport. For sponsored trips, a sponsor’s financial documents and guarantee letter are typically required.
Proof of intention to leave Kosovo before visa expiry, such as a return or onward ticket booking.
Can be a round-trip flight reservation or other evidence of onward travel and ties to country of residence.
Travel medical insurance valid throughout Kosovo for the entire intended stay or transit.
Official sources do not publish a minimum coverage amount; applicants should ensure coverage for emergency medical care and repatriation for the full stay.
Proof of payment of the applicable Kosovo visa fee (typically 40 EUR for C visa, 80 EUR for D visa, with some exemptions).
Payment is usually made via bank transfer to the account of the relevant Kosovo diplomatic or consular mission; applicants must check bank details with the mission. Holders of diplomatic or official passports, children under 6, and certain students/teachers on study visits are exempt from the visa fee.
Certified translations of all supporting documents into Albanian, Serbian or English, as required by the Kosovo authorities.
All supporting documents must be submitted in two copies, including translations, according to Kosovo MFA guidance.

Kosovo uses the euro, but it’s still cash-heavy. Keep small notes/coins for buses, cafés, small shops, and quick tips—ATM withdrawals can be easier than trying to pay everywhere by card.

Intercity buses often sell tickets on-board for cash, and some stations charge small ‘platform/access’ fees—having €1–€2 coins saves time and hassle.

If Serbia is also in your route, plan border order carefully: entering Serbia directly from Kosovo can be problematic if you don’t already have a Serbian entry stamp. A common workaround is to enter Serbia first or route via a third country.
