🇻🇺 Vanuatu for 🇨🇷 CR citizens

Each applicant must complete one application form when applying in advance for a visitor or tourist visa. Forms are available from Vanuatu Immigration or the official eVisa portal.

Visitor and tourist visa checklists require a certified copy of the passport bio-data page and, in some cases, all used pages. If applying from outside Vanuatu, certified copies must usually be submitted; originals are presented on arrival.

Visa application checklist specifies two recent passport-size photos for visitor and transit visa applications. Photos should clearly show the full face without head coverings unless worn for religious or medical reasons.

Visitor visa criteria require consent from both parents or legal guardians if the applicant is under 18 and travelling. If the minor is not part of an organised tour and will not be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian, an undertaking from a Vanuatu citizen or valid visa holder is required to provide accommodation, food, and general welfare.

Visa application checklist specifies a local sponsor letter and copy of sponsor’s ID/passport/permit if accommodated with family or friends. Sponsor letter should confirm accommodation arrangements and support during the stay.

Visitor and tourist visa guidance lists employer leave letters and similar documents as evidence of genuine intention to depart Vanuatu within the authorised stay. Other acceptable evidence can include proof of ongoing studies, family responsibilities, or business commitments.

Visa application checklist requires proof of approved visa and onward ticket if the applicant is travelling to another country that requires a visa. This is mainly relevant where Vanuatu is part of a longer multi-country itinerary.
